Pastor Jay is a dynamic young Visionary Pastor, who is on fire for the Lord. Love for the Lord and love for the church is his passion and he believes in serving the Lord in this generation. He carries a burden for the youths. He also believes a day spent without the presence of God (prayer) is waste of the day. He is a dynamic preacher of God’s word and advocates giving undiluted word of God to the people related to their daily lives. He is sold out to the vision of building a powerful local church.

A closer look at the Pastor

Pastor Jay comes from a non-Christian background. Most of his education happened in northern part of India as his father was in IAF. As a young boy his dream was to become a cricketer and play for the nation. His life revolved in and around the cricket field. God out of His sovereign will and purpose touched his life in a unique way and at the age of 18, he accepted Jesus as the Lord and Saviour.

The next three years were a time of molding and making as he grew in the house of God. Lord was constantly confirming His call over Pastor Jay’s life through prophecies, dreams and visions. At the age of 21 he surrendered his life completely for His service, as no longer could he deny the call. In February 1999 he began a small fellowship under a thatched roof. God opened up a nearby village and many people from the village began attending the fellowship regularly. In spite of carrying vision and burden for urban English speaking people Pastor Jay continued to minister and shepherd the village folks. At the age of 25 he found an ideal life partner in Anjali and got married on December 2001 and they are blessed with Shawn their son.

Due to family obligations and commitments they both were compelled to join a Christian TV channel. Their performance was exemplary, so they climbed the corporate ladder quickly. After one and half years of pursuing a career God spoke to them loud and clear from the book of Jeremiah to trust in the fountain of living waters instead of broken pots. In obedience to God’s word in October 2003 they quit the jobs and fully got immersed in seeking the Lord and building His Kingdom. In January 2004 with the fresh revelation from the Lord Pastor Jay along with Anjali founded VCI South Chennai.
